Shagari: Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya condoles Nigerians

Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya (APC Kano South) and former governor of Kano State has condoled Nigerians over the death of the first executive president of Nigeria, late Alhaji Shehu Aliyu Usman Shargari who passed away at the National Hospital Abuja last Friday.

Senator Gaya described the death of the late elder statesman as a  great national loss.

He added that the late former President was an embodiment of patriotism second to none. He also said that his passage has created a vacuum that would be difficult to fill.

He described the late former President as a selfless Nigerian who dedicated his life to the service of the country adding that the late former President was a politician that considered the entire country as his constituency.

He further said that when Shagari presided over the affairs of the country in the second republic the late president set a phase of not showing preference to any section of the country.

The former Kano State governor also said that the late former President was a mentor, a father and a patriot whose legacies is a national treasure.

He said that the death of the elder statesman has come a time that his wealth of experience would be needed most as Nigeria approaches a general elections.

He particularly paid tribute to the former President for his steadfastness as father and a beacon of peace.

The federal lawmaker in a statement enjoined the family of the late former  President, president Muhammadu Buhari, sokoto state and all Nigerians to take solace in the fact that the late politician lived an exemplary life as a pan African and a father whose children can boldly stand tall anywhere in the world in his name. He prayed that Almighty ALLAAH grant the late former President Aljanatul Firdausi.
