DELTA: A Note For JUAN GOVERNOR And ASHAKA CLETSY: By Henshaw Agba

Delta… “Things come apart so easily when they have been held together with lies” – Dorothy Allison. This is an apt message to leaders in Ndokwa East LG. I hereby make a passionate and earnest appeal to my beloved Juan Governor and Ashaka Cletsy to shun the devious methods of the status quo so that they don’t end up with mouths filled with gravel and become vain proverbs. Hear this my brothers: “pacta sunt servanda”, that is, agreements must be honoured. The very day you were sworn into office you agreed to uphold the maxim that states thus: “Salus populi suprema lex esto” – “Let the welfare of the people be the highest law”. Watch carefully at the people around you. Most of them are not loyal to you for the purpose of instituting good governance, probity, visible infrastructural development and nonpartisan welfare structures that will out live regimes. They are only loyal to your pocket and their need of you. Once their needs change or they become satisfied of you, their loyalty changes. To thyself be wise.
