EDO: APC Not A Violent Party, Our Culture Doesn’t Tolerate it —Hon Iyoha

Benin city- Edo state House of Assembly member representing Oredo ward 2 and House of Representatives hopeful Hon Osaigbovo Iyoha has stated that their party, All Progressives Congress (APC) is not a violent party and will not encourage any form of violence in 2019 election.

Hon Iyoha was speaking during the closing ceremony APC sponsored unity football tournament at Edokpolor Grammar school in Benin .

He said that the ruling party respects Benin norms and values and as well recognize the fact that youth are the leaders of tomorrow and as such will not push them into electoral violence capable of ruining their future.

We are not a violent party and as we prepare for 2019 elections we will not encourage any form of violence. As Edo people, our culture doesn’t even encourage violence. So, we will continue to engage our youth and help the have a sense of direction to fulfill their destiny and not the other way round.

Our Governor,Mr Godwin Obaseki and our Royal father Oba Ewuare 11,the Oba of Benin have set the template for youth empowerment and social reorientation. So, ours is to support the agenda.

He commended the state Governor for being able to sponsor the state athletes to the just concluded national sports festival and for winning the hosting right to stage the 2020 edition in Benin.

He added that rmassive reconstruction of Samuel Ogbemudia stadium and construction of mini stadia across the state is a noble agenda that must be supported.

He called on all Edo sons and daughters home and abroad to support Obaseki government.
