Kaduna: Uphold The Ethics Of Journalism Profession –Media Expert Tells Journalists

Nigeria Media Practitioners have been advised to uphold the ethics of the profession and avoid the temptation of gratification.

This advised was given at this year media clinic organized by the Africa Media Development Foundation (AMDF) held in kaduna on Thursday, with theme ‘The Media And Ethical Reporting’.

In a keynote address by the Station Manager Freedom Radio, Mallam Adamu Ladan  said that the journalists should avoid personal interest in reporting adding that the future of Nigeria, as a nation, lies in the hands of journalists.

He said that journalists have a pivotal role to play in delivering Nigeria from the shackles holding it back from attaining its right position among the committee of nations in the world

He said that journalists has a social responsibility to the society adding that the  fate of a common man lies in the media to provide a veritable platform for all views to be heard.

He said by so doing public office holders can be held accountable at all times .They must report the truth in a factual and accurate manner, no form of hearsay should be allowed in the media space because the fact on ground will always speak for itself.

During the discussion panel, the theme of the media clinic was extensively discussed and solutions were proffered..
