The Honourable representing Gwagwalada, Kuje, Kwali and Abaji federal constituency, former chairman Gwagwalada area council, Hon. Zakari Angulu Dobi has described the just concluded FCT congress of the APC as successful. Adding that the exercise was free, fair and credible.
The party today may 19,2018 conducted state congresses across the country. The FCT part of the exercise was hitch free as the party adopted consensus to elect the state executives.
Speaking with journalists during the exercise, Mr. Angulu maintained that the party in FCT is well consolidated. He however, stressed that he was satisfied with the way the exercise went and was hitch free.
“I want to tell you that APC as party in FCT has been consolidated and that is why you are seeing what you are seeing here today. People thought we will come here to box ourselves but as you can see the whole exercise went smoothly.
“Am happy with the level of understanding of our party members because that is what resulted in this consesus. I have confident with the new executives because I believe they will move our great party forward,” he added.
Meanwhile, Hon. Usman Abdulmalik has emerged winner of the FCT chairmanship of the party via a synonymous decision for adopting consensus. Hon. Abdulmalik, before his re-election was the out chairman of the party.
In his remarks, Mr. Abdulmalik expressed delight for giving him yet again another opportunity to serve the people. He thanked all members of the party for the confident reposed on him. He however, promised to carry all party members along as enshrined in party’s constitution.
“I am grateful to you all for yet giving me another opportunity to serve you. I thank you for your confident bestowed on me, all of us would join hands together to move this party forward.”
He called on all members of the party to remain committed , focused and relentless in preparation for 2019 general elections.
