2019: We Are Ready To Support Senator Makarfi –Youth Project

Nigerian Youths and students support for good governance, make Nigeria great again, Youth Project 2019, said they are ready to support Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi’s to run for the seat of president in the up coming 2019 election.

Speaking during their first courtesy call to the correspondent chapel, kaduna state chapter, lead by its youth leader who is also theme leader Honourable Victor Matthew Bobbai said the youths in their various five meetings has highlighted the giant strides Senator Makarfi made when he held numerous positions, which includes governor of kaduna state and Senator and PDP caretaker chairman.

He said, “we are formerly here to kick-off calls for candidature of Senator Makarfi for the top job of the nation.

Makarfi as a governor of Kaduna state from 1999 to 2007, the state expirance massive rural development, in the provision of good roads, basic amenities.

In his address, the National President of Youth Project 2019, Hon. Gideon Goma Adawa, said that Makarfi is not just an idea but a project,

” Let’s work in unity, let’s start the youth project in our environment, community in which we live, if Makarfi succeed, herdsmen will no longer exist, crisis and the rest of insecurity issues”

Also commenting on how the National Youth project 2019 will succeed, the media consultant, Lola Seriki Idahosa, the publisher of Trace reporter, urged the Youth Project to utilise and carry the media along.

She said that the media has a very vital role if the Youth Project work hand in hand with the media.

According to her, “my meeting with the Youth Project has been great and I commend them for their oneness, as a media practitioner in the project, I promise to continue to support the project in the area of publicity”

Speaking on behalf of the correspondent chapel, the chairman of the chapel, Mr Midat Joseph promised to support the Youth Project 2019 of all their activities

He said Senator Makarfi is a household name in Nigeria and the world at large, “he did a lot for Kaduna journalists while he was governor, he has touch so many lives, a non detribalised politician”.

Youths in attendance includes, Youths Coordinators from various Local Government Area for Makarfi, Makarfi must contest 2019, Makarfi Movement, PDP (YSAP) and students from Tertiary Institutions..
