*I should give others in my constituency a sense of belonging with the PDP*
With the 2019 electioneering that is fast approaching and politicians in the People’s Democratic Party warming up for a super contest to oust the ruling All Progressive Congress and return to power. Our correspondents recently met with a PDP stakeholder who is a former presiding officer, Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Dr Matoh Dogara.
PDP, according to him, “is the only political party in Nigeria that gives power directly to the people and that is exactly what the PDP stands for, we will never compromise”
We are interested in bringing the party back and of course going down the grassroots is necessary, the youths also will play an important role to that effect.
Also, the Party believes that active and responsible youths be given more space to aspire for public office and we will not compromise that either –following the decision by some of us in Kaduna to give way for younger aspirants, we are definitely going the right way.
Personally, on my own side, Haven been Local Government Chairman, Secretary, Special Adviser, Commissioner, Member State House of Assembly. I should give others in my constituency a sense of belonging with the PDP, the system needs lots of fresh ideas with regards to governance at some points of the local and state level. On this, I believe we are on the right part to progress.
