Member of the National Institute and NEC member of NLC, Comrade Issa Aremu mni, has condole the family late Senator Malam Ali Wakili, Senate president Dr. Bukola Saraki, all Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigerian, all members of National Institute, the government and good people of Bauchi state and the entire nation.
In a press statement made available to TraceReporter reads as follow, SHOCK: I received with shock the death of my dear friend and brother Senator Malam Ali Wakili, mni. May Almighty Allah grant him eternal rest in Aljana Firdausi.
NOT HOW LONG BUT HOW WELL
Wakili’s eventful life shows again that eventually it would not be long or short for anybody as long as we are all mortal. What endures is the positive impact on fellow human beings and service to our creator.
I bear witness that Wakili lived for all that would benefit fellow Nigerians and Africans. Nigerian workers have truly lost a friend. On resumption at the 8th Assembly, Senator Wakili was a regular caller asking for relevant information on the need for a new minimum wage for Nigerian workers. He maintained that Nigerian worker deserved good pay for good work done. Wakili was truly an institution man.
A TEAM PLAYER
He was my Senior Executive Course (SEC) 27 mate at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in 2005. He was an activist member of our Alumni; Almuni Association of the National Institute (AANI.)
FIGHTER FOR JUSTICE
He was the Chairman of the Senate committee on Poverty Alleviation as a fighter for social justice. Like most selfless fighters, they hardly say Goodbye. The best honor for the late compatriot is to deepen his efforts and struggle for a better Nigeria and better Africa. Blessed are the dead. The dead would no more be suspected of mass poverty, electricity failure and unacceptable widening gap between the ever few rich and majority poor amidst abundance for all by God. While we must legitimately agonize over his unexpected death, let us organize and continue from where he left in alleviating our people out of want into prosperity. May Almighty Allah grant him eternal rest in Aljana Firdausi.
My condolences go to Wakili’s family, the Senate President, Senator Dr. Bukola Saraki and distinguished Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, all Members of National Institute, the government and good people of Bauchi State and the entire nation for the irreparable loss.
