An octogenarian, Mama Osaze Amune (Nee Gomina), popularly called Oyin Majebi, from Igarra, the headquarters of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, Edo State, Nigeria who was alleged missing early in the week has been found dead in Benin City, Edo State.
From reports gathered, the Benin-based daughter of the deceased named Ajara allegedly took her aged mother to Benin City for holidaying on 11th December, 2017; and on Monday, 15th January, 2018, she was reportedly missing until this morning when the news of her being found dead was received from the only son of the deceased, Mr. Majebi Obansa, fondly called Samrock, who allegedly travelled to Benin City in the search for his missing mother.
In a telephone chat, Samrock confirmed the untimely demise of his mother as, according to him, her remains had been deposited in a morgue in Benin City, Edo State.
Our reporter who went on a condolence visit to the family house of the deceased on Somorika Road at Ugbogbo Quarters in Igarra alleged that the entire community was engulfed by tears and wailing.
The Edo State Police Command has allegedly commenced an investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of late Mama Osaze Amune (Nee Gomina).
