To improve the reading culture of students as well as to uplift the education sector in Edo state, the Amune Michael’s Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) has concluded arrangement to organize the first inter-school quiz and debate competition for all the secondary schools in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo state.
The four days event which is tagged “2017 Akoko Edo inter school quiz and debate competition” will involve all the secondary schools in Akoko Edo Local Government Area.
According to statement made available to Tracereporter and signed by comrade Amune Michael, said, “As part of the aims and objectives of the foundation, after approval from the CIE ministry of Education, Akoko-Edo. We wish to inform you of the very First inter-school quiz & debate competition for all secondary schools in Akoko-Edo LGA, Edo State, Nigeria.

Friday, 10th of Nov. 2017 Quiz

Wednesday, 29th November, 2017. Grand finale
Subject for the competition are: Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Government, Literature in English.
Topics for group stage in debate: The Nigeria of my dream. My mother my pride. My best teacher. I have a dream. When I grow up.
My best moment in life. Maximum of 3mins for the group stages (the various schools are to discuss the above topics)
Topic for finale: Can Nigeria do without crude oil, For and against
Each stage of the project would hold in four zones, namely
**Igarra zone 1: Igarra girls secondary school,igarra.
**Igarra Zone 2: St Paul grammar school, igarra.
**Ibillo Zone: Okpameri grammar school,ibillo.
**Ososo Zone: Ososo grammar school,Ososo.
while the grand finale would be held at Igarra.
This project is meant to improve the reading culture of students as well as to uplift the educational sector in Edo state.. Akoko-Edo LGA.to be precise.
Every school shall be sending three (3) representative to represent their various schools for both quiz and Debate.
